Russian subs move toward Canadian East Coast

Project 971 (Shchuka-B, 'Shchuka' meaning ‘pike,’ NATO reporting name "Akula"), is a nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN) first deployed by the Soviet Navy in 1986. The class is sometimes erroneously called the "Bars" class, after one of its members. Note that Akula ("shark") is the Soviet designation of the ballistic missile submarine class designated by NATO as the Typhoon class submarine. Russia is a threat... but only if we attack Iran. A country which is, by all independent (the IAEA) reports, building a nuclear power plant in accordance with the NNPT (Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty) to which it is a signatory. In the meantime, while we are busy touting a non-nuclear middle east Israel, which is not a signatory to the NNPT, and is also the one pushing for an attack on Iran, has built a huge stockpile of nuclear weapons that we absolutely know about, yet we say nothing about it!
