Liberty and Safety
"President Bush argued frequently and forcefully that his first job was to keep us safe. He was wrong. The Constitution tells us that his sole job was to enforce the Constitution; and that means keeping us free. This is rich... 'We' can torture prisoners, but 'They' can't take their pictures... that's against the 'Law'... please. If this man is tortured, we have no moral 'high ground' from which to criticize it, let alone be apalled by it. By photographing this man, they are letting the world know they have him. We keep our prisoners in secret, incommunicado, even our own citizens! Incredible.
